USource Webinar: Exploring Workplace Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

Join us for a webinar on
Thursday, January 27th at 10:00 AM CST

Throughout the past couple years, we have seen the re-emerging focus of DEI - diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Initiatives centering on DEI have been around for many decades. These initiatives may be inspired by what an employer envisions their workplace to be; or perhaps a sense of fairness, or other factors that have especially risen to the surface during the Pandemic. The focus has once more gravitated to the importance of DEI. Business leaders are recognizing that diversity, equity and inclusion need to be woven into their business strategies to create, re-vitalize and retain healthy workplace cultures.

The webinar will be an overview of the DEI topic. While DEI is often referenced as a single term, its separate components are not interchangeable. Not only do the words have a different meaning, the ideas behind each word is also different. Individual terms of diversity, equity and inclusion need to be clearly understood and communicated effectively to employees when an employer embarks on developing a DEI program.

The DEI webinar will provide the following:

  • The definition of each term will be identified with examples.
  • The value of creating diversity, equity and inclusion programs in workplaces.
  • Discussion of discrimination laws as they relate to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • The elements of an effective DEI program.
  • Secure processing of personal DEI information.
  • Summary of key points.
